AthenaHealth asked me to write an essay on the future of academic health. As I wrote in their blog, I believe we have it all wrong.

My advice is to burn the health care reform manuals and think transformation. This is a great time to be in health care — leading a healthcare organization in 2013 that is more optimistic about its future than its past.
